The cast of 165th film of Superstar Rajinikanth, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, seems to get a new addition with each passing day. The latest to join the film is actor Deepak Paramesh, who starred in Karthik's Mercury, which was released in April. This is Deepak's third collaboration with the director, with the actor making his debut in the anthology film Aviyal, produced by Karthik Subbaraj's Bench Talkies. 

The Unakkenna Venum Sollu-actor joins the stellar cast, which already includes Munishkanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Sanath Reddy, Simran and Megha Akash. The first schedule is of the film is currently ongoing in Darjeeling. 

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film will have music by Anirudh, while National Award-winner Tirru will handle the cinematography. It is speculated that SPB, who had not sung the opening number for Rajini in his last two releases, Kaala and Kabali, will sing for him once again in this film.
