Yash’s next with director Anil Kumar is a sequel to Kirathaka

After five years, the actor is set to play a rustic village youth once again in the sequel to his 2011 hit

When Yash donned the role of a rustic village lad in Kirathaka and Raja Huli, he caught the eyes of audiences across the state. The two films, set against the Mandya backdrop, were not only runaway hits at the box office, they also put the actor in the spotlight.

With fans hoping to see the star in similar roles, Yash seems to have given in to their wishes. After five years, he will once again play such a role on the silver screen. The film that the actor has signed is helmed by Anil Kumar. According to our sources, the project that is bringing together this actor-director will be a sequel to Kirathaka. However, an official title is yet to be finalised. “This will be the next film that Yash will begin to shoot after KGF,” says a source.

Even as the actor has back-to-back projects lined up, this yet-to-be titled  film will go on floors soon. “Apart from Anil’s project, Yash will be associating with director Harsha and Narthan. While the former is currently busy with another film, the latter is getting ready with the script. So, Yash, not wasting time has decided to start with Anil’s project. He will then follow it up with those two,” adds our source.
