Following mixed reviews for his buddy comedy, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, director Tharun Bhascker slammed reviewers who were critical of his film. His comments received severe backlash from the critics and the director did a turnaround on Monday and said that he respects everyone’s opinion.

“I knew that it was because of these reviews that Pelli Choopulu was a big hit and I’m happy to see good words pouring in for Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi. It doesn’t matter if someone criticises a film and gives a low rating. Such things help me better myself,” said Tharun on the sidelines of the success meet of Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi.

Admitting that he doesn’t understand social media, Tharun added, “My social media post didn’t go down too well with the critics. I was annoyed when one reviewer pointed fingers at the camera angles and lighting used in the film, and hence, I expressed my opinion. I realised that social media is not the place I can rely on to document my views as I have to deal with tricky emotions. Hence, I’ve made an exit.”
