Director Venkat Prabhu confirmed last Thursday that he will be joining hands with Simbu for a “fresh script”. There were rumours that this film, an action entertainer, will be titled Athiradi. But the director confirmed to CE that the title is not Athiradi.

He says, “We are yet to be finalise the title. Since this title is already out, it’s ruled out now. The title will be surprising and will surpass the expectations of the audience.”

Simbu has recently wrapped up shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, while Venkat Prabhu is busy with the post-production work of Party, which is scheduled for an August release. After wrapping it up, the director will get on with the Simbu project, which will most likely have Yuvan Shankar Raja as the music director.

Meanwhile, Simbu is also in talks with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru-director Karthick Naren.
