Anushka on cloud nine over Bhaagamathie success

The actor expressed her happiness and gratitude to fans for the spectacular success of her recent release

After the big Sankranti releases fizzled out, Anushka’s political thriller Bhaagamathie which opened in cinemas on January 26, has emerged as the first big hit of 2018. The trilingual directed by G Ashok has set the cash registers ringing in the domestic and overseas markets.

According to reports, the film has already earned half-million overseas and is cruising towards the one million mark. In its first weekend, the Telugu version of Bhaagamathie has grossed Rs 29.50 crore worldwide.

Anushka expressed her happiness over the success of the film and thanked her team and audience for making it a special film in her career. “I thank each one of you for your appreciation for Bhaagamathie. Special thanks to my director Ashok gaaru and UV Team for waiting for four years and making this one of the memorable movies in my career. We put in hard work in every character we do, and it's only to entertain you more. Thanks to my fans and well-wishers who have been supporting me throughout my career with their unconditional love,” she wrote.

Produced by UV Creations, the film also features Unni Mukundan, Jayaram, Asha Sharrath and Dhanraj in pivotal roles.
