Samuthirakani's next directorial after Thondan will be Nadodigal 2, and as we have earlier reported, the film will star Sasikumar in the lead. The director-actor duo will be collaborating once again after 2011's Poraali. 

Nadodigal 2 will have Anjali as the female lead and now it's confirmed that Athulya Ravi has been roped in too. The actor, who debuted with Kadhal Kan Kattuthe, is also awaiting the release of Yemaali, which incidentally stars Samuthirakani as well. 

Talking about Nadodigal 2, the young actor says, "I play the role of a village girl in the film. It's not a sequel to the original film but will have a similar storyline. The essence will be retained, and apart from Anjali and me, the main cast members from Nadodigal such as Barani and Ganja Karuppu are also onboard." 

Produced by Inspire Entertainment, Nadodigal 2 will have music by Justin Prabhakaran.

Meanwhile, Athulya's Yemaali will hit the screens in February, and the same month will also see the beginning of her next project -- Ramprakash Rayappa's Suttu Pidikka Utharavu, which stars Mysskin, Suseenthiran and Vikranth.
