Pari is not like usual horror films

The horror film directed by Prosit Roy is scheduled for release this week

Prernaa Arora, the co-producer of the Anushka Sharma-starrer Pari says it is not like the usual horror films in India. "Pari will not be similar to the usual horror films in India with creaking doors, ear-shattering background score and crashing chandeliers. This is a totally different take on the spooky theme. The horror is so organically introduced into everyday life that audiences will be stunned," Arora said. She said audiences will get to see Anushka like never before.

"She has played a funny ghost before (in Phillauri). In Pari, she is something else. I don't think any actress in the world has played this kind of a chilling character," said Arora.

Directed by newcomer Prosit Roy, Pari is also co-produced by Anushka's home banner Clean Slate Films. This will be her third film as a producer after NH10 and Phillauri.

Apart from Anushka, the film also stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajat Kapoor and Ritabhari Chakraborty, and the film is slated to release on March 2.
