While the first schedule of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has been wrapped up, the team will start shooting the second one from today.

The first schedule mainly took place on ECR, aside from some portions which were shot at Apollo Hospitals, Vanagaram.

The source also clarifies, "Simbu doesn't play an engineer in the film, and whatever reports have been published so far are untrue."

Produced by Madras Talkies, the film has an ensemble cast, including Vijay Sethupathi, Jyotika, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay and Aishwarya Rajesh in important roles.
