RT Neason, who directed Vijay in Jilla, is likely to remake the Ajith-starrer Vedalam in Telugu. According to sources, Pawan Kalyan will play the lead. 

Interestingly, one of his recent films, Katamarayudu, was also the official remake of another Ajith project, Veeram. Though Neason hasn't officially announced this, he has admitted to being in talks with Pawan on many occasions. It looks like the cast and crew details are yet to be finalised. 

Pawan’s last release was Agnyaathavaasi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, with Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander made his Telugu debut as a music director with that film.
