Sonam Kapoor: Proud to be a part of Neerja

The actor received a National Award for the film under the special mention category 

Sonam Kapoor feels blessed to have worked on Neerja -- a biopic on Neerja Bhanot, the valiant Pan Am flight attendant who saved a number of lives when terrorists hijacked a plane to Karachi in 1986. She says her bravery continues to move her.

On the second anniversary of the film, the actor tweeted:

Sonam earned critical appreciation for her portrayal as Neerja Bhanot and got a Special Mention for her performance at the 64th National Film Awards. 

The Ram Madhvani directorial was produced by Fox Star Studios and Bling Unplugged. The director also tweeted about the film: 


Sonam Kapoor's Padman opened to critical acclaim recently and has been well received by the audience. She will next be seen in the multi-starrer comedy Veere de wedding.
