Malayalam actor Aditi Ravi, who was last seen in Pranav Mohanlal's Aadhi, will make her Tamil debut in Ajith from Aruppukottai, the remake of the Vishnu Unnikrishnan-starrer Kattapanayile Ritwik Roshan. She will reprise Prayaga Martin's character in the original.

Aditi tells us that she has begun shooting for the film in Pollachi. "I am thrilled to be making my Tamil debut. Adding to my excitement, I got a message from Simbu who welcomed me to the industry," she says.

On her character, the actor says she plans to play it differently. "As such, there is no big difference compared to what Prayaga did. But, I plan to give it a different touch," she adds.

Though the film is directed by Nadir Shah, who also helmed the Malayalam version, Aditi says Ajith from Aruppukottai is as fresh as it can get. "Except for Nadir Shah, Dharmajan Bolgatty and me, there are very few Malayalis in the crew. For me, this is a very Tamil experience," says Aditi, who claims to have started conversing in Tamil. "I can speak confidently in Tamil now. I want to dub for my character. However, Nadir Shah will take the final call," she adds.
