From his debut film Cheeni Kum to his upcoming film Pad Man, R Balki has had one common element in all his directorial ventures -- Amitabh Bachchan. 

The Pad Man director has explored various sides of Amitabh's acting talent through his films. Be it a love story between a 64-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman in Cheeni Kum, or the tale of a 12-year-old progeria patient in Paa, or showing the dark side of showbiz through a failed actor and drunkard in Shamitabh, Balki has always brought out the best of Amitabh. 

He also made the actor do cameo appearances in English Vinglish and Ki & Ka as well. 

Questioned on his obsession with Big B, Balki said, "I am not obsessed with Amitabh Bachchan... the nation is; I am just a part of the nation." 

He also went on to reveal that Big B has played a crucial role in the Pad Man too, even though it's a cameo. 

The film highlighting the issue of menstrual hygiene, features Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor, and Radhika Apte, and is slated for release on February 9.
