Nayanthara, who recently completed 15 years as an actor, has finished shooting for her next film, Airaa, directed by Echarikkai-fame Sarjun KM and produced by KJR studios. The actor reportedly plays a dual role in the horror drama.

The news was officially announced by KJR studios on Twitter. The production house, which had earlier bankrolled Nayanthara's Aramm, also announced that a teaser will be released soon.

Airaa has music by 8 Thottakal-fame KS Sundaramurthy. Apart from Nayanthara, whose character in the film is said to have no romantic interest, it also stars Kalaiyarasan, Yogi Babu, Jayaprakash and Malayalam actor Kulappulli Leela. 

While Airaa is expected to get a release in the summer, Nayanthara will next be seen in Ajith’s Viswasam, which is scheduled to hit the theatres for Pongal 2019. The actor also has several other projects in the pipeline, including the Chakri Toleti-directorial Kolayuthir Kaalam, Sivakarthikeyan’s yet-to-be-titled film with director Rajesh, the Malayalam film, Love Action Drama, directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, and the mega-budget Telugu period drama, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, co-starring Chiranjeevi.
