Simbu's next to be directed by Seeman

CE Features

Looks like STR is on a signing spree. The actor, whose last release, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, was a success, is awaiting the release of Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven and has Maanadu, followed by films with Gautham Menon and Karthick Naren in the pipeline. It's now confirmed that Simbu will also be doing a film with Seeman. In a recent interaction, the director has said that it will be a political film, relevant to the current scenario.

Seeman, known for films such as Thambi and Vazhthukkal, has been in active politics for a while now. The director was earlier in talks for a film with Vijay. In a recent interview, the chief-coordinator of Naam Tamilar Katchi said that the film with Vijay was "well-discussed" but for various reasons, had to be shelved. Seeman, who is also playing a pivotal role in the upcoming film Thavam, added that because of his political moves, some were afraid to star alongside him or in his films.
