One of William Shakespeare's classic plays, Macbeth, is getting a Tamil feature film adaptation. Titled Pagaivanuku Arulvai, the film will mark the second collaboration of filmmaker Anis and music director Ghibran, who had previously worked on the 2014 Jai-Nazriya Nazim-starrer Thirumanam Enum Nikkah

Pagaivanuku Arulvai will mark the Tamil debut of Lucia-fame Kannada actor, Satish Ninasam. Saran Sanjai, who is awaiting the release of Suseenthiran's Angelina, plays another lead. The title logo of this project will be unveiled at an event in Switzerland tomorrow.

The film will also be the debut vehicle of London based 9-year-old Ananya Rajendra Kumar as a lyricist. Anis says, "There is a particular song which we felt needed to have a childlike freshness and innocence, and so we decided to rope in a kid to pen the lyrics."

With the rest of the cast and crew to be finalised soon, the shooting of Pagaivanuku Arulvai will commence shortly.
