We had previously reported that the pre-production work for Vijay's next, commonly referred to as Thalapathy 63, had commenced. The producer of the film, Archana Kalpathi, took to her Instagram profile to confirm that the crew is currently in Los Angeles, scouting for locations. She posted a picture of herself, director Atlee and the film's cinematographer GK Vishnu, captioned 'Thalapathy 63 from Kollywood to Hollywood'. Incidentally, Vijay's latest release, Sarkar, was also shot in America. 

Thalapathy 63 will have Vijay teaming up with Nayanthara again after 2009's Villu. The film, also starring Yogi Babu and Vivek, has Muthuraj and Ruben handling art direction and editing, respectively.
