Meenakshi Dixit, known for her dance numbers in Dookudu and Baadhshah, has been roped in for a cameo in Mahesh Babu-starrer Maharshi. The Adavi Kachina Vennela actor will be seen in a pivotal role, which has been kept secret so far by the director Vamshi Paidipally. 

"Meenakshi has completed shooting for her portion in the US. It's a really different role and the makers don't want it to be out anytime soon," says a source.

Also starring Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh, the film features Mahesh in three different avatars as a college goer, businessman and a modern farmer. Set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema, the film also features Prakash Raj and Jayasudha as the parents of Mahesh Babu. Produced by Prasad V Potluri, Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt, Maharshi has music by Devi Sri Prasad. It is slated for release on April 5.
