Soundarya Sharma bags role in Wonder Woman 1984 

The film is a sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot

Ranchi Diaries-actor Soundarya Sharma has bagged a role in the sequel to 2017's Wonder Woman. Starring Gal Gadot in the titular role, Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins, who also helmed the original superhero film. 

"This is a dream-come-true situation. It's exhilarating to be a part of such a larger-than-life film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character," Soundarya said in a statement.

While details of her role are being kept under wraps, she is expected to start shooting for it by the end of October. Also starring Chris Pine, the sequel will hit the screens in 2019.
