Flash news. Indian 2 isn't dropped, as speculated by some news sources. Director Shankar and cinematographer Ravi Varman are currently on the hunt for the shooting locations of the film and a picture of the duo in a helicopter has made its way to social media.

The film was announced by Shankar during the grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil season 1 and it was officially launched in Taiwan on Republic Day, this year. Dil Raju, who was initially supposed to bankroll the project, opted out last December. It is said that Anirudh Ravichander will be teaming up with Kamal Haasan and Shankar for the first time for this film.

Meanwhile, Shankar is also awaiting the release of his dream project 2.0, starring Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead.
