Actor Mehreen has been signed on to play the second female lead opposite Bellamkonda Sreenivas in his upcoming stylish thriller. Initially, the makers considered Catherine Tresa for the same role, but things did not work out and Mehreen came on board instead.

“Mehreen has commenced shooting for the film on Sunday. It’s a riveting thriller which shows her out of her comfort zone. Director Srinivas Reddy is going to tap a new side of the actor with this film,” says a source.

Also starring Kajal Aggarwal as the main female lead, the film’s shooting is currently underway in Hyderabad. Produced by Naveen Sontineni, the film has music by SS Thaman and dialogues by Abburi Ravi.

Besides this untitled film, Mehreen is also shooting for Anil Ravipudi’s multi-starrer F2 and Vijay Deverakonda’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual NOTA.
