Simbu and Sundar C team up for the remake of Attarinitiki Daredi

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan, who played the lead in the original, and Simbu have starred in the Telugu and Tamil remakes of Dabangg, respectively

We had previously reported that Lyca productions will be bankrolling the Tamil remake of the 2013 Telugu film, Attarinitiki Daredi. According to a reliable source, the production house has approached Simbu and Sundar C to act and direct the project, respectively. 

Lyca Productions broke the news via Twitter and also added that the film will be a January 2019 release. Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan, who played the lead in the original, and Simbu have starred in the Telugu and Tamil remakes of Dabangg, respectively. And Sundar C has earlier directed films like Unnai Thedi and Minsara Kanna, which have storylines similar to Attarinitiki Daredi.

Meanwhile, Simbu is currently awaiting the release of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Sundar C has his dream project Sangamithra in the pipeline.
