On the 15th of this month, actor Indrans will be felicitated by the Cochin Film Society to celebrate his Kerala State Award (Best Actor) win for Aalorukkam. The venue is Children's Park Theatre, Marine Drive. MLA Hibi Eden will be inaugurating the event.
A screening of Aalorukkam will also be conducted at 5.30 pm. Directed by VC Abhilash, the film won a National Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. Some crew members who worked on the film will be present along with Indrans.
In addition to Aalorukkam, the society will also screen the Italian film Il Postino at 2.30 pm. The film, co-directed by Michael Radford and Massimo Troisi, was nominated for five Academy Awards and won one. Troisi received posthumous Academy Award nominations for Best Actor and Best Adapted screenplay.
