The shooting of Dhanush's Maari 2, the sequel to the 2015 gangster comedy, was wrapped up recently, except for a dance number which was left to be shot. Now, it has been revealed that Prabhudheva will be choreographing this song featuring Dhanush.

Dhanush took to Twitter to announce his association with the actor-choreographer. "I’m super privileged to share with you all, that the man who is the reason behind dance evolving in our country Prabhudheva is choreographing a song for us in Maari 2. I grew up watching his magic. What a moment for me. Thank you, sir," he wrote. 

Directed by Balaji Mohan, the film, like the first part, stars Dhanush as a local don. The cast also includes Sai Pallavi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Tovino Thomas, Vidya Pradeep, and comedians Robo Shankar and Kalloori Vinoth, who were part of the first film as well. Produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, Maari 2, with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, is slated for release later this year.
