Vemel and Vadivelu are teaming up for a commercial entertainer directed by Suraj of Kaththi Sandai-fame. A source tells us, "Both play cops in this yet-untitled project that will be on the lines of Marudhamalai. After opting out of Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei, Vadivelu has committed to this film."

Vemel, who has completed shooting for Kannirasi, will be commencing the shoot of K2 with director Sarkunam next month. The source adds, "The makers are trying to rope in Oviya as she was a part of the original (Kalavani)." 

Simultaneously, Vemel is in talks with Vetrivel director Vasanthamani and Majith (who's busy with Torchlight starring Sada), besides Boopathi Pandian, who directed him in Mannar Vagaiyara.
