Ottamuri Velicham director's next announced

Titled Dakini, the film will feature four grandmothers as its main characters

Rahul Riji Nair, director of the multiple Kerala State Award winning Ottamuri Velicham, has announced his next. Titled Dakini, the film is expected to be quite a novel attempt, with the main characters being four grandmothers, played by the two ummas from Sudani from Nigeria -- Sarasa Balussery and Sreeletha Sreedharan -- and, Pouly Valsan and Sethulakshmi.

The supporting cast is comprised of Indrans, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Alencier Ley and Chemban Vinod Jose.

Produced by Urvasi Theatres (Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum) and Universal Cinemas, the film's theatrical distribution will be handled by Vijay Babu's Friday Film House (Angamaly Diaries and Aadu).
