The makers of Vijay 62 had shot a few action sequences in Chennai and Kolkata for a few weeks. But then, the shoot was halted on March 23 due to the TFPC strike.

With the strike now called off, we hear that the shooting will be resumed on April 25.

Also, the latest information is that, senior actor Livingston is on board, and he'll be playing Keerthy Suresh's father. This will be his fourth film with Vijay after Thirupaachi, Aadhi, and Kaavalan.

Sources close to the unit say they're planning to finish the film as soon as possible, so that it can be released for Diwali this year.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, this untitled project, produced by Sun Pictures, was launched in Chennai in January.
