Last seen in a cameo in last year's Magalir Mattum, Madhavan has finished shooting for his portions in his upcoming Telugu film Savyasachi, also starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film features the Vikram Vedha actor as the antagonist. Taking to his Instagram profile, Madhavan shared a picture of himself from the film, and wrote, "It’s a wrap for me on Savyasachi and what a fantastic time I had. Many a film wrap I have seen but none like this. Thank you so much for the Love Mythri Movie Makers, Chandu Mondeti and the entire unit. I wait with bated breath for the next time. Wish you more Blockbusters like Rangasthalam." The picture shows Madhavan dressed as a bridegroom wearing a tilak and a wedding band.

Slated for release on May 24, the film also stars Niddhi Agerwal as the female lead, and Vennela Kishore and Bhumika Chawla in pivotal roles.
