Jayam-fame Sadha, who was last seen in Vadivelu's Eli, has turned producer now. The actor, who is awaiting the release of her period drama, Torch Light, helmed by Abdul Majith, will once again team up with the director for a new film, but this time also as the producer. 

Majith, who made his directorial debut through Vijay's Thamizhan, says, "Sadha was all teary-eyed after hearing the script of Torch Light for the first time. I also showed her footages of women who were into prostitution previously. Torch Light will definitely be a turning point in Sadha's career. I am confident that this film will leave an impact on society."

This film tracks the life of women pushed into prostitution in the nineties, and showcases how they are exploited by heartless men. Director Majith is said to have approached more than forty female actors, who turned down the script, not wanting to play the role of a prostitute, before Sadha came on board. The film also stars Riythvika, Sujatha Ranganathan, and director Venkatesh.
