Director Seenu Ramasamy, who recently completed shooting for Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Kannae Kalai Maane, took to his Twitter account to announce that he’s next collaborating with Samuthirakani. Speaking to Cinema Express, the Dharma Durai director says, “After Neerparavai, both of us wanted to collaborate on a project again. Like my previous films, this one too will be set in a village. It’ll be a family drama that’ll talk about human relations.”

The director was supposed to start the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Maamanithan after Kannae Kalai Maane. “Sethu has his hands full with projects; it all depends on his availability. If he says he’ll be free after four months, we could commence Maamanithan after this project is done. The Samuthirakani film’s scripting is finished already and we’re ready to go for shoot.”

Seenu Ramasamy’s next release, Kannae Kalai Maane, will see him collaborating with Udhay for the first time. Tamannaah, who he had worked with in Dharma Durai, plays the female lead in this film which was shot in a single schedule of 45 days.
