Malayalam actor Priya Varrier, whose clip from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi went viral, will be setting foot in Tamil, through the dubbed version of the film. It has been reported that the high school love story will also be dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi.

Priya's expressions in the 28-second featurette from the film went viral and took the nation by storm several weeks ago. Since then there have been several speculations regarding her debut in Tamil and Hindi. It was earlier speculated that the actor would play an important role in a Ranveer Singh's Simmba and that she would feature as the female lead opposite Suriya in his upcoming film with KV Anand. With both these rumours refuted by the respective production houses, reports now say that Soodhu Kavvum-fame director Nalan Kumarasamy has roped Priya in for his new black comedy. It is notable that the filmmaker previously introduced Malayalam actor Madonna Sebastian of Premam fame in Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum.
