Kaala, which was originally scheduled for release on April 27, is now likely to hit the screens only in June. The release date has been pushed back because of the ongoing strike in the Tamil film industry.

A source says, "The makers of Achari America Yatra are planning to release their film on April 27 in Telugu, so it's quite apparent that Kaala won't be released that day."

Incidentally, approximately 30 other Tamil films are lined up for the release when the strike is called off.

Kaala is Rajinikanth’s second collaboration with director Pa Ranjith after Kabali. The film has a star cast that includes Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Huma Qureshi, and Anjali Patil.
