Disha Patani, whose latest release was Baaghi 2 opposite Tiger Shroff, is all set to shoot for Sundar C's Sangamithra next. 

Reports suggest that, though work was supposed to start on the film early this year, it got delayed owing to the Bollywood actor's other commitments. "Now that she's relieved of her prior assignments, she has given dates in July," says a source.

Disha came on board after Shruti Haasan opted out of the project.

Meanwhile, we hear the shooting will take place in Hyderabad, and it will be filmed on a grand scale. "If everything goes per the plan, this film will be released next year," adds the source. 

Touted to be made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, this film, which also stars Jayam Ravi and Arya, will be on the lines of Baahubali and is likely to be released in two parts. 

Bankrolled by Hema Rukmini of Sri Thenandal Films, Sangamithra will be made in Telugu and Hindi as well.
