We had reported earlier that actor Darshan and director Tharun Sudhir were coming together for a film. Now, it is confirmed that Umapathy will be coming on board as its producer. Initially, the buzz was that Umpathy was joining hands with director Prem for a project, but this is not the case now.

Our source says, “Darshan, after much thought, has decided to go with Umapathy for Tharun’s film. The Chowka director, who got the green signal from Darshan over a year ago, is already ready with the script and can go ahead with the project anytime. Darshan made this decision after he realised the director’s dedication.”

The actor is currently busy dubbing for Muniratna Kurukshetra, and also working out schedules for his upcoming film, Yajamana, directed by Pon Kumar, whose second schedule will begin from April 6. His next project will be with producer Sandesh Nagaraj, after which he will start on Tharun’s project.

While the makers feel it is too early to reveal more details, we hear that Darshan, Umapathy and Tharun are waiting for the right moment to make an official announcement.
