We had told you Arun Vijay and director Magizh Thirumeni were coming together for a city-based thriller subject, Thadam. Now, it has been revealed that the actor plays a dual role in the film -- one, that of an engineering graduate (Kavan), and the other, a North Chennai-based gangster (Ezhil). Initially, it was said that the film would release for the Tamil New Year (April 14), but due to the ongoing strike, the team is looking to zero in on a different date.

Thadam, which will see Arun in dual roles for the first time in his career, is based on a real-life incident.

The film also has Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, Yogi Babu, Sonia Aggarwal and Vidya Pradeep in pivotal roles.
