Puneeth Rajkumar’s first production under PRK banner, which will be director Hemanth M Rao’s second directorial, Kavalu Daari has the right mix in casting with established actors and up-and-coming talent. Interestingly, he has Anant Nag and Rishi playing the leads. The latest to join team is Roshini Prakash, who will do a character role in the movie.

Roshini will be paired opposite Rishi in the film. A construction engineer and Femina Miss India finalist 2016, the actress has been part of films such as Sapthagiri Express, Aajaraama, Jaitayatra and the yet-to-be-released, Tiger Galli.

Hemanth did not want a familiar face for the role and signed her on after an audition. “We looked at a lot of options. I didn’t want a very well-known face for this interesting character,” says Hemanth. “She was fantastic in her audition, and came across as a terrific actress. Her open, innocent face fits the character in Kavalu Daari.”

The film’s launch will be held on September 22, and the casting is nearly done. Achyuth Kumar and Sidharta will also play pivotal roles in the movie.

Kavalu Daari has music by Charan Raj, Advaitha Gurumurthy’s cinematography, Vardharaj Kamat as the art director and sound design by MR Rajakrishnan.
