Research is very important when it comes to playing the title role in a biopic. Shraddha Kapoor, who will be featuring in and as Haseena Parkar in her first biopic, went to great lengths for her role. The actress spent a lot of time in the place Haseena lived in, Nagpada. Haseena Parkar, known as the Aapa of Nagpada, had a huge role to play in the life of the people living there, who were witness to her journey, with some even being a part of it. 

Shraddha and director Apoorva Lakhia decided that it would be a good idea to meet the real people who have seen Haseena and lived around her. Everyday, for a week, Shraddha when to Nagpada, where she visited Haseena's house, and met her family and grand children. She even spoke to people who were there during the incident which took place with Ibrahim Parkar, Haseena's husband, who is being played by Ankur Bhatia in the film. Apoorva, who spent time with the real Haseena, made sure that Shraddha got to know all sides of Haseena Parkar.

Swiss Entertainment presents Apoorva Lakhia's Haseena Parkar, which is co-produced by Sameer Antulay and Babu Tyagi, and stars Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth Kapoor and Ankur Bhatia. The film is set to release on September 22.
