VFX work delays Okkadu Migiladu

The Manchu Manoj-starrer based on the life of LTTE leader Prabhakaran was originally slated for a September 8 release

Manchu Manoj’s upcoming film Okkadu Migiladu, based on the life of slain LTTE leader Prabhakaran, has been postponed to October 6, say reports. The film, which was supposed to hit the marquee on September 8, has now been delayed as the graphics works are taking longer than expected.

“The post-production formalities are progressing at a rapid pace. The film is replete with special effects and has spine-chilling war sequences and a breathtaking journey in the sea. These episodes stand out in the film and will thrill the audience. As the VFX works are taking longer than expected, we have decided to delay the release by a few weeks,” said producers SN Reddy and N Lakshmi Kanth.

Besides Manoj, Anisha Ambrose, Jennifer and Ajay play pivotal roles in the film directed by Ajay Andrews Nuthakki. Shiva Nandigam has scored the music.
