Director Maruthi, who carved a niche for himself dealing with quirky characterisations in films like Prema Katha Chitram and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, is now coming out with a romantic comedy Mahanubhavudu.

The film shows actor Sharwanand living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Shot in Italy, Croatia, Austria, and Hyderabad, the filming has been completed and the post-production formalities are in full swing. The makers are planning to release the title track of the film on September 7.

Mehreen plays the female lead in the film bankrolled by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under UV Creations banner. SS Thaman has scored the music.
