It's official. Suriya, who'll be seen next in Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, will be joining hands with Selvaraghavan for his 36th film, which will be produced by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures.

Talking to CE about the film, SR Prabhu says, "The film will satisfy everyone's expectations. While I can't give away too much, I can say that it'll be a mix of class and mass. They both have their own signature styles which will be highlighted."

Speaking about the film from a production standpoint, Prabhu adds, "When two big names like Selva and Suriya come together, the collaboration itself demands a lot of mass elements. So it's definitely going to be a grand affair. The rest of the cast and crew will be officially announced in a week's time."

The film has been confirmed for a Diwali release in 2018, and the first schedule's shooting will begin in January. With Thaanaa Serndha Koottam releasing for Pongal next year, Suriya will have two festive releases in the same year after 17 years. The last time this happened was in 2001 when Friends released on Pongal and Nandha hit the screens for Diwali.

Meanwhile, Selvaraghavan, whose Nenjam Marapathillai is ready to release, is currently working on Mannavan Vanthanadi with Santhanam.
