Omar Lulu's Malayalam film Chunkzz, that went on to be a box office hit despite the absence of known actors, will be remade in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

The filmmaker confirmed the news on his Facebook page. "The remake rights for the three languages have been given to Lakshmishree Combines," he said. There are reports that Omar Lulu himself will be directing all the three versions. The actors for the remakes will be selected from all the three centres.

The comic entertainer, starring Balu Varghese, Vaisakh Nair, Dharmajan Bolgatty and Honey Rose in the lead, was set in a mechanical engineering college. Produced by Vysakh Rajan, the film went on to become a hit, despite coming under fire for its adult jokes.
