Even before his Aayirathil Iruvar released, director Saran had completed the script for his next. Talking to CE, the Gemini director says, "The film is titled Balti. Scripting is done and we're currently working on the casting."
 
Apart from this film, the director is also expecting to commence work on a big project. "This film, which I've planned after Balti, will feature a big star. I can't reveal much about it now as it's still early stages. I will make an official announcement soon," he says, and adds that, should things progress quickly on this project, he may even consider starting work on it before Balti.
