Regina Cassandra is having the busiest year of her career with three films already released and Nenjam Marappathillai waiting for a release date. Though she is busy with Silukkuvarupatti Singam and Party, the actress has also signed another project with Gautham Karthik. The latter will be working with his father Karthik for the first time on this film.

This yet-to-be-titled project, which also stars Sathish, is to be directed by Thiru of Naan Sigappu Manithan fame and this will be his first time directing someone other than Vishal. Dhananjayan is to bankroll the project under his Creative Entertainers and Distributors banner.

Sources say that Karthik will play a government employee, while Gautham will play a boxer, having undergone training in Bengaluru for his role. Another heroine, too, is said to be a part of this film whom the team is yet to finalise. The crew is planning to commence filming in November, before which the title is expected to be announced.
