We had told you that Udhayanidhi Stalin was collaborating with director Priyadarshan for a film. Now that the shooting is complete, the makers have revealed the title of the project - Nimir. Priyadarshan tells us, "We shot the film (set in Thenkasi) in 36 days in one schedule. We also shot in Dubai for a couple of days. I am very proud of my product."

Priyadarshan also says he was looking for an actor, and not a hero for his film. "That's why I roped in Udhay. I thought he'd suit the image of my protagonist. He plays the role of an ordinary guy who lives in a small town. I didn't approach any other hero. Udhay was my only choice," he adds.

I ask him if he has watched Udhay's previous films, and he smiles, "Well, I have seen him in a couple of films, but it doesn't really matter. Udhay is an obedient student, and he sincerely listens to me. I chose him, and I moulded him the way I wanted to. I am sure, he's going to make other actors jealous!"

On the title, Priyan says, "I am not all that fluent in Tamil. But, I had the opportunity of directing one of my dream directors (J Mahendran). Uthiripookkal, Nenjathai Killathe, and Mullum Malarum are still my favorites. He was the one who suggested naming the film Nimir."
