Mersal to be screened at Grand Rex Cinemas

The Vijay-starrer is directed by Atlee and is the 100th film of Sri Thenandal Films

Following Rajinikanth’s Kabali and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, Vijay’s Mersal will be screened at the Grand Rex Cinemas in Paris, the largest cinema hall in Europe, which boasts of a seating capacity of over 2000 seats.

The theater group, Le Grand Rex shared this information on Twitter, confirming that the movie will be screened at Le Grand Rex on October 18.

This shows that there is no change in plans with regards to release of the film outside Tamil Nadu and Mersal will hit the screens on October 18 for Diwali. The team is now working in full swing to release the film in both Tamil and Telugu on the same day.

Directed by Atlee, Mersal is the 100th film of Sri Thenandal Films and the makers have plans of adopting the grandest promotional and release strategies ever witnessed for a Tamil film. They are also planning to release the film in a record number of theatres.
