Sundar C, who was about to begin Sangamitra, has decided to put that project on hold for now, and has moved on with Kalakalappu 2.

Kalakalappu 2 stars Jiiva, Jai, Nikki Galrani and Catherine Teresa in the lead. Mirchi Shiva, who was a part of the first film is also playing an important role in the sequel. In addition to this, the film marks Vaiyapuri's first project post his appearance on Bigg Boss Tamil season one. 

We hear the shooting commenced in Karaikal, and the makers plan to release the film in time for the Pongal holidays next year.
