"Thala is a thorough gentleman, and you'll like him once you get to know him," he said. About Vijay, he said that he's known him since the time the star was at Loyola College with his brother Suriya. "An extremely simple man, but very confident," he added.

Some fans also asked if Karthi had plans to direct Suriya, to which he responded, "When I was an assistant director, I was writing a script for anna only. Let's see if I impress him with my script now." When asked about director H Vinoth and the possibility of a sequel to Theeran, he said the filmmaker is "well-read and very clear about what will work on screen.
