The filming of Prabhudheva's Charlie Chaplin 2 with director Shakti Chidambaram has commenced in Goa. Sources say that the story revolves around the families of Prabhudheva and Nikki Galrani travelling from Chennai to Tirupati for a wedding, and the twists and turns before the grand wedding form the crux of the film.

Team Charlie Chaplin 2 has roped in Adah Sharma, familiar to Tamil audiences from her appearance in Simbu's Idhu Namma Aalu, to play a pivotal character. The sequel to the hit 2002 film is produced by Amma Creations T Siva, with Soundararajan behind the camera and Amrish in charge of the music.

Charlie Chaplin 2 is expected to hit the screens by mid 2018.
