Bharjari enters 50 cr club, a Tamil remake in the offing

The Dhruva Sarja-starrer directed by Chethan Kumar has entered the 50 crore club in box-office collections and has caught the attention of Tamil production houses keen on remaking it

Chethan Kumar is a happy man because his second film Bharjari too is seeing a successful 50-day run in many theatres across Karnataka, and according to the distirbutior Supreet, the film has made a good business with the film entering the 50 crore club.

Chethan says, "This is a success. I want to relax and enjoy, for all the hardship that went into this project. The producers are now looking forward to being back with a 100 days celebrations, which they are hopeful will happen in at least 15 theatres across Karnataka."

Meanwhile, discussions are on for the remake of Bharjari in Tamil and, apparently, Studio Green, a top Tamil production house has shown interest in it. Another production house, who watched the film is also said to be keen to remake it with Vishal in the lead.  

Bharjari, made under RS Productions, features Dhruva Sarja, Rachita Ram, Hariprriya and Vaishali Deepak. The film has V Harikrishna’s music and Sreesha Kuduvalli’s cinematography.
