Gopinath Rajendran

Veteran theatre artiste Michael Muthu will play a small part in Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, 2.o. Talking to CE about his experience, Michael recalls the days he spent with the Superstar. “I’m playing the role of a cop. I shot for five days with Rajini. It was good fun to be part of the film. It’s the first big production I’ve worked in; so it was a new experience for me. The most exciting and memorable part of the shoot was, of course, working with Rajini himself,” he says.

Known for directing acclaimed plays such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Michael is also working on directing his first feature film titled Theeviram. Sameer Bharat Ram of Local Talkies who co-produced Uriyadi is producing this subject. 2.o, which is planned for a January 25 release, is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and directed by Shankar. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.
