Earlier the makers of Vijay 61 had announced that the title and the first look of the film would be released to the public on June 22nd to coincide with the 43rd birthday of the star. But it appears that there is now a change in the plans.

The producer, Thenandal Films, has now announced through its Twitter handle that the first look and the film's title will be released at 6 pm on June 21, the day preceding Vijay's birthday.

It isn't entirely sure why the launch was advanced by a day, considering that doing so on the star's birthday would have resulted in much fanfare.
